'Before & After' might be easier to finish as a screenplay...though I did successfully complete the 2006 NaNoWriMo competition (National Novel Writing Month) this past November.  I now have over 300 typed pages of effort towards this book, yet I find it difficult to make any further progress.  It's almost as if, after the manic strain of these annual competitions, I can only write under complete stress and strict deadline.  If that sounds like a bullshit excuse, well I guess it is.  My 2007 New Year's Resolution has been to be a better person, and for Lent I gave up being lazy; one would think that with these two goals combined, I should be able to get some more novel work accomplished...I have framed my 2007 NaNo certificate and hung it on the wall in our new place, and that does help to serve as a kick in the butt to keep on keepin' on with the story.....

If you have somehow found your way to this website and have no idea what I'm talking about when I say "NaNoWriMo", then you should click that link and go check it out.  Even if you're not a writer, you should go to the site and read some samples of people's work, as well as finding out how the NaNoWriMo organization helps to build and fund libraries for children in underdeveloped countries.
